I studied Medicine and specialized in Medical Imaging at the University of the Republic´s School of Medicine in Montevideo, Uruguay.

I specialize in ultrasound and Doppler studies, and some of my areas of interest are neonatal imaging and medical education.

I am Professor of Radiology and currently chair the Pediatric Imaging Clinic of the University of the Republic in Montevideo.

I am also Head of the Imaging Department of Centro Hospitalario Pereira Rossell, Uruguay´s national reference center for Women and Children.

I currently hold the positions of General Secretary of the Uruguayan Society of Radiology and Imaging, Vice-President of the Latino-American Society of Pediatric Radiology and Immediate Past President of the World Federation of Pediatric Radiology (from july 2023).
